What are the Guides?

You may well be aware of the mounting concern expressed in the media over the deterioration of the quality of water supplied to our homes. As a direct result of long-term pollution, we cannot afford to ignore the fact that this precious resource is nowhere near as pure as we might imagine it to be.

On the face of it, we could be expected to blame the water companies if the quality of our drinking water is not up to standard. It should be remembered, however, that the water supplied to our homes is exactly the same as that supplied to industry. The same water that we drink is also used for cleaning streets, processing chemicals, irrigating fields, fire-fighting and countless other requirements. When you realise that human consumption accounts for less that 3% of all water used, it seems nonsensical that 100% of the water supplied by the water companies should be fit for drinking. The water companies do their best, but even they admit that it is an impossible task for them to remove completely all pollutants, given the enormity of the problems and the huge financial resources required.

There are a variety of different water treatment technologies, each designed to treat specific water conditions and to remove certain contaminants. But because of their specialised nature, and because water conditions vary dramatically from region to region, not every system is ideal in every situation, and some solutions are not obvious. Here at Fresh Water Filter Company, we have been dealing with the wide range of water treatment systems for over 17 years, and our call-team has experience of almost every kind of installation there is. Put simply, the Guides are the sum of that experience.

Each Guide is an informative discussion, designed to help you, our customer, with your concerns about water. The Guides have "Question and Answer" sections, but they are much more than that. Each Guide will help you learn more about an aspect of Water Treatment, formulate the questions you want to ask, and arrive at the optimum solution to your particular problem.

Water in Nature

For millions of years, nature has recycled and purified the world's water. But today's environment is greatly changed from that even a few hundred years ago. The water that comes out of your tap is quite different from the crystal water bubbling up from a mineral spring.

This Guide explains what happens to water in nature, how it is "harvested" and delivered to you by the water companies, and why it is not necessarily as pure as you imagined it to be.

Water for your Life!

"You are what you eat". In today's challenging world, that saying is more true than ever, but it also applies to what you drink. We all know that to fight the stress and rigours of daily life, to stay young, healthy, and to look good, it is more important than ever to be careful about what we eat and drink, the lifestyle we lead, and the environment we live in. This Guide looks into all aspects of a healthy, modern lifestyle, and how pure water could help.
